New playoff format

Here is a mockup format for the playoffs. The reason I created this was because the league goes on for 2+ months ish, And alot of teams throughout the league wont have the competitive attitude or feeling of qualifying or trying to get as high in the league as possible. Last season pro division, had 11 players and 8 qualify for playoffs, which is more than 70%. in others league too there isnt much fight at all or worry about where you are in the league just because 20 matches or so in a season only matter for a playoff seed. In this example, if there is 12 teams and 6 qualify for playoffs, the first 2 as you can see automatically proceed 1 round. this not only motivates people to qualify but also pushes the best players to get better aswell as everyone else to get top 2. in other sports such as football and the premier league, people fight for the title aswell as fighting for european qualification in the top4, this format has proved to work in many places :D

    i think that for lower leagues like entry or inter the 8 week league should determine who wins inter or entry

    We actually talked about doing this at the end of last season. I don't remember how the full conversation ended but we decided against it for the below reasons:

    • We want as many teams as possible to be able to get playoff experience.

    • 1st and 2nd place going straight to semi's can be bad for them since they don't get any playoff games and can effect their next games.

    • As the teams and players in pro get better and better every season, we're starting to see more upsets happening in the earlier brackets. We don't want to take this kind of hype away from people.

    • 12 people is good because we can get more people in pro, but we don't want people in pro just to give them the experience of being there, we want to make sure they're actually good enough to play in that division. Right now, we usually have 1 or 2 teams that get destroyed by most teams, and if we add a 12th team then we will just have 2-3 teams that get destroyed.
